Bitcoin traded in a narrow range on Tuesday. Caution ahead of the Senate vote on the CLARITY Act, which concerns cryptocurrency market regulation in the United States, and the Federal Reserve’s meeting weakened investors’ risk appetite.

At 09:30, Bitcoin was down 0.2% at $77,406. It had risen in the previous session following reports that US President Donald Trump had approved a new ethics provision in the CLARITY Act.

Other cryptocurrencies also traded mostly within a narrow range. Ether, the world’s second-largest cryptocurrency, fell 1% to $2,488.97, while XRP gained 1.1%. Solana, Cardano and BNB declined between 0.5% and 2%.

Market participants are also awaiting the Fed’s interest rate decision. The US central bank is expected to raise interest rates by 25 basis points on Wednesday.

The Senate vote on the CLARITY Act is another key focus for the market. At least 60 votes are required for the bill to pass. The legislation aims to establish a clearer and more comprehensive regulatory framework for digital assets in the United States.
