Электромобили более надежны при длительной эксплуатации!
Исследование показывает, что более простая конструкция силовой установки электромобилей положительно влияет на их долгосрочную надежность.

A large-scale study based on technical inspection data from millions of vehicles in the UK has shown that electric cars are more reliable than petrol models at high mileage. According to the study, there is no significant difference in failure rates between electric and petrol vehicles during the first years of use. However, the situation begins to change after the mileage reaches around 65,000 kilometers. At 190,000 kilometers, petrol models are 47% more likely to experience a failure or fail a technical inspection compared with electric vehicles. At this stage, the failure rate is 23.5% for petrol vehicles, compared with 16% for electric models.
The study shows that the simpler powertrain structure of electric vehicles contributes to their long-term reliability. The regenerative braking system also helps reduce wear on brake components. However, the greater weight of electric vehicles can lead to faster tire wear. Although the study did not directly measure battery condition, other data show that electric vehicle batteries can retain an average of 90% of their capacity after 150,000 kilometers.
