Bitcoin Falls Amid Tech Stock Sell-Off

Bitcoin fell amid sharp sell-offs in global technology stocks and declining investor appetite for risky assets. The price of the world's largest cryptocurrency dropped 0.4% to $83,673.1. Bitcoin had fallen to $81,054.7 the previous day.

The decline in the cryptocurrency market is also attributed to investors taking profits following strong gains in the third quarter. Despite October historically being a strong month for Bitcoin, the lack of new regulatory developments and large-scale buying activity has put pressure on prices.

Sell-offs in artificial intelligence and technology stocks have also reduced investors' risk appetite. Concerns about the profitability of the AI sector and China's advances in chip manufacturing have heightened uncertainty. As a result, investors have become more cautious about Bitcoin and other risky assets. In contrast, traditional safe-haven assets such as gold and the Japanese yen have attracted increased interest.

Meanwhile, a Bitcoin wallet that had been inactive since 2019 has become active again. Approximately 5,582 Bitcoin, worth around $378 million, were transferred to five different addresses. Although large cryptocurrency transfers are sometimes associated with potential selling activity, it has not been confirmed that this transaction was intended for a sale.

Bitcoin's decline has also affected other cryptocurrencies. Ether fell 1.4% to $2,534.41, while XRP lost 2.7%, Cardano dropped 5.3%, Solana declined 3.6%, and BNB fell 1.3%.
