Bitcoin’s price surpassed $77,000!

Bitcoin rose 1.4% on Friday to $77,560.9, recovering most of its losses for the week. The rise came after the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) granted companies a five-year exemption related to tokenized securities.

The new decision expands opportunities for offering and trading blockchain-based and tokenized stocks. The move could further bring digital assets closer to traditional financial markets.

The broader cryptocurrency market also gained. Falling oil prices and lower U.S. Treasury yields supported investors’ risk appetite. Ether rose 1.8% to $2,485, while XRP gained 1.7%.

Altcoins outperformed Bitcoin. Solana rose 5.9%, Cardano gained 8%, and BNB climbed 3.8%. Meanwhile, analysts say permanent cryptocurrency regulation can only be established through legislation passed by Congress. In their view, rules adopted without legislative support could remain vulnerable to future legal and political changes.
