China Cuts Fuel Supplies to the Asian Market!

China has canceled some oil product exports planned for October in an effort to support its domestic fuel market. The canceled shipments include gasoline and diesel. According to reports, the decision is linked to the country prioritizing domestic supply amid prolonged volatility in global energy markets. Sources involved in the transportation and trading of oil products said plans for some shipments by Chinese exporters have been changed. The decision has led to a sharp increase in fuel price differentials across the Asian market.

State-owned companies such as Sinopec Group and Sinochem play a key role in China’s fuel exports. They sell products to major oil companies and trading firms, which then supply fuel to other Asian countries. Although China exports less fuel than countries such as South Korea, its supplies remain important for the regional market. Therefore, the reduction in exports could affect fuel prices and supply balances across Asia.
