China Resumes Exports of Petroleum Products!

China plans to resume refined fuel exports in October. This move could help ease supply shortages in the global markets for gasoline, diesel and aviation fuel.

According to Reuters, China has approved the export of approximately 3.7 million metric tons of gasoline, diesel and jet fuel for October. In September, exports of these products were expected to exceed 4 million tons.

China, the world's largest oil importer, imposed restrictions on fuel exports in March due to disruptions in crude oil supplies and production challenges. Although some restrictions were eased in subsequent months, Beijing continues to maintain strict export controls.

The war in the Middle East and the Russia-Ukraine conflict have negatively affected fuel production and supply. Diesel prices, in particular, have risen. To stabilize global supplies, the International Energy Agency has taken steps to accelerate the use of oil reserves and prioritize diesel supplies.
