The iPhone 18 Pro could see a significant price increase!
According to industry estimates, Apple may need to increase the price of the entry-level iPhone 18 Pro by up to $270 to maintain its current profit margin.

Apple is preparing to increase the prices of its new iPhone 18 Pro models. The company is reportedly considering a price increase of between 10% and 20%. The main reason is the sharp rise in the cost of memory chips, particularly DRAM. According to TrendForce, Apple’s memory costs in the third quarter of 2026 increased by 400% compared with the previous year. Although the company has been negotiating with suppliers to reduce rising costs, pressure from higher memory prices continues.
Apple is looking for ways to prevent the entire increase from being passed on to consumers. Instead of switching to a more expensive new memory standard, the company reportedly plans to use existing LPDDR5X technology in the iPhone 18 Pro series. A new WMCM packaging technology could also help increase memory bandwidth. However, completely avoiding a price increase appears difficult. Industry estimates suggest that Apple may need to raise the price of the entry-level iPhone 18 Pro by up to $270 to maintain its current profit margin. How much of the additional costs Apple will absorb and how much will be passed on to consumers is expected to become clearer at the company’s September 9 presentation.
