Record Wave in the Cryptocurrency Market: "Bitcoin" Surpassed $85 Thousand

A sharp wave of appreciation has been recorded in the global financial and cryptocurrency markets over the past 24 hours. Most major digital assets are advancing toward new peaks against the backdrop of investors' growing risk appetite.

According to data from the CoinMarketCap platform, the market's locomotive, Bitcoin (BTC) , surged by 4.84% over the past 24 hours, crossing the $85,412.18 USD threshold. Concurrently, the flagship cryptocurrency's total market capitalization rapidly expanded, approaching $1.72 trillion .

Positive dynamics were also observed in other leading altcoins. Ethereum (ETH) rose by 2.45% to $2,731.48 , while BNB increased by 1.64% to reach $789.36 . Bittensor , one of the standout assets on the list, surprised market participants by jumping 17.80% to $315.14 . Meanwhile, Bitcoin Cash (BCH) settled at $265.17 with a 4.07% gain.

Nevertheless, despite the overall green trend, partial declines were recorded in certain assets. Specifically, Zcash depreciated by 3.51% to $1,461.28 , and Monero dropped by 0.67% to $574.26 . Overall, the CoinMarketCap 20 index increased by 4.62% over the past day, reaching 177.62 points .

What Lies Behind the Appreciation?

Financial analysts attribute this sharp rise in the cryptocurrency market to a series of crucial macroeconomic and geopolitical factors. According to experts, the primary drivers behind the price increases are:

· Recovery of risk appetite in global markets: Investors' renewed shift toward profitable yet risky assets is supporting the crypto market.

· Decline in oil prices: The drop in prices for key energy carriers is easing inflationary pressures.

· Decrease in US Treasury bond yields: Capital flowing out of the bond market has strengthened the influx into alternative investment tools, particularly digital assets.

· Geopolitical expectations: Hopes that existing global tensions may subside have created a positive sentiment across markets.

Whether these fluctuations in the cryptocurrency market will persist and whether Bitcoin will break new psychological barriers will depend on upcoming global economic news in the coming days.
