Tesla Sold More Vehicles Than Expected in the Third Quarter!
The company’s deliveries exceeded Wall Street’s expectations by 24,558 vehicles.

Tesla exceeded analysts’ expectations in the third quarter of 2026, delivering 486,532 vehicles. The company’s delivery figure was 24,558 vehicles higher than Wall Street’s expectations.
However, the result declined by 2.1% compared with the same period last year, while increasing by 1.3% from the second quarter. Tesla produced 464,391 vehicles during the reporting period. Delivering more vehicles than it produced helped the company manage its existing inventory.
The expiration of the $7,500 federal tax credit in the United States and economic uncertainty had raised concerns about the company’s sales. Despite these challenges, Tesla exceeded quarterly delivery forecasts.
Model 3 and Model Y accounted for the majority of sales. A total of 478,237 vehicles from these two models were delivered, representing approximately 98% of total deliveries.
Performance across other models weakened. Deliveries in this category fell by 48% compared with the same period last year, reaching 8,295 vehicles. Tesla’s position in the electric vehicle market and demand for its core models remain important factors for its future performance.
