Anthropic’s Third-Quarter Revenue Reaches $16.8 Billion

Concerns are growing over the financing of investments in the artificial intelligence sector. Against the backdrop of Anthropic reporting strong financial results and preparing for an IPO, rising bond yields at CoreWeave have attracted investors’ attention.

Anthropic, the creator of the Claude chatbot, reported revenue of $16.8 billion in the third quarter and said it had generated a profit on an adjusted basis. The company’s adjusted gross profit margin reached 85%, while its operating profit margin exceeded 11%. Anthropic also reported positive free cash flow. Ahead of its IPO, the company is reportedly valued at approximately $1.8–2 trillion.

However, analysts note that intensifying competition could put pressure on prices and profitability.

Meanwhile, yields on CoreWeave’s unsecured bonds maturing in 2032 have exceeded 15%. The company’s shares fell by as much as 17% on Wednesday.

Analysts warn that high borrowing costs and a slowdown in AI investment could create financial risks for CoreWeave.
