The AI then generates a realistic image showing how the clothing would fit their body shape.
The system takes into account details such as lighting, shadows, body shape and clothing texture. This allows users to see how an item would look on them before visiting a store. One of the main goals of the new feature is to reduce uncertainty during online shopping, such as “How will this outfit look on me?” and concerns about sizing. Users will also be able to virtually combine different clothing items. The feature is currently being tested in beta with a limited number of users. It is expected to become available to a wider audience in the future.
