A new calling feature is coming to WhatsApp!

WhatsApp is working on a new feature for iOS users. This feature will allow users to invite people without a WhatsApp account to voice or video calls via a call link.

Currently being tested in beta, the feature will allow people without a WhatsApp account to join calls through a browser without downloading the app. Calls will be protected by end-to-end encryption, and to ensure security, the person who wants to join must have their request approved by the user who started the call.

To create a call link, users will simply need to open the “Calls” section in WhatsApp. They will be able to choose between a voice or video call and share the link through WhatsApp or other messaging platforms. The links can also be added to calendars.

The main goal of the new feature is to make communication easier with people who do not use WhatsApp. The feature is still under development and is expected to be introduced to iOS users in future updates. It could be particularly useful for communicating with business partners and friends. People without an account will be able to join conversations without installing an additional app.
